Gas Stations on the Way to Grand Canyon

The road to Grand Canyon South Entrance is Highway 64, exit 165 north from Interstste 40, at Williams, Arizona. You don't need to enter Williams itself: two gas stations are on highway 64 a few miles north of Williams, toward Grand Canyon.

Williams, Arizona

There might be cheaper gas stations within Williams. To find these and see a bit of the town, proceed past exit 165 to the next exit, 163. There is somewhat less expensive gas at the Love's travel stop or the new Maverick station to the right of the exit.

Try going into town! There are a few nice restaurants: we recommend El Corral for Mexican food and Brewed Awakenings for breakfast or a snack and latte. Try Red Raven or Rod's Steakhouse for Route 66 retro charm. Western View Steak House in the Best Western Hotel, up the hill west of town, has a very nice atmosphere and dinner. Your last big grocery before the Grand Canyon is a Safeway in town (with a Starbucks).

Compared to Williams prices, gas is 30% higher in Valle and 50% higher in Tusayan near the Grand Canyon South Entrance. Find these Grand Canyon area towns on the map.

Grand Canyon EV Stations

On the drive up to Grand Canyon, electric vehicle (EV) chargers are located in Williams, Valle, and the IMAX Visitor Center in Tusayan. Within the National Park and free to use, there are EV chargers at Market Plaza, Yavapai Lodge East, and Maswik Lodge. Desert View has no EV charging stations.
